Her songs are an electic mix of pop, reggae, blues and dance but have a heartbeat at the core that is Lisa's sound. Formed in 2009, all four members of the Artesian Quartet are studying at the Royal Academy of Music. Quick to take on as many opportunities as possible, they were guided from the start by the London String Quartet Foundation, as well the expert coaching of appraised chamber musicians. These include Garfield Jackson (Endellion Quartet), Roger Tapping (Takacs Quartet), Martin Outram (Maggini Quartet) and Marc Johnson (Vermeer Quartet).
The Quartet’'s growing reputation has enabled them to travel all over the country. They have performed in many prestigious chamber music venues, including Wigmore Hall and Southbank Centre and Colston Hall in Bristol. In their second year together, they were invited to collaborate with the Barbirolli Quartet to perform Mendelssohn Octet and have since been asked to perform the work again on numerous occasions. In August 2011, the Quartet gave their BBC Proms debut, performing the tenth string quartet of South African born composer, Kevin Volans, broadcast on BBC Radio 3. The following month they were invited to travel to Turkey for a performance at the British Consulate in Istanbul. They currently hold one of the Academy’s four Davey-Poznanski Quartet Scholarships, a programme designed to increase coaching and performance opportunities in order to further expose emerging young string quartets.

BARN DANCE & SUPPER

Jubilation was formed in the closing years of the last Millennium and has featured the same line-up since 2006.
The band uses music from England , Ireland , Scotland and America, plus other pieces they like and some tunes written by band members.
After several years playing together Jubilation has created a distinctive sound with a strong rhythmic drive under the melody line. Different instruments take turns as the lead to weave a richly textured sound. The aim is to produce music that is interesting to listen to as well as being good for dancing.
The dances used are great fun for all age groups and easy to learn - even for novice dancers.
JUBILATION is
Clare - Violin
Alan - Recorder
André - Guitar
Simon - Bass Guitar
Fee Lock - Caller
It's good to have fun, but even better to have Jubilation!
